The live streaming wedding event the entire world could enjoy and to remember.
Alex & Anneke came to us asking about the possibly of broadcast / Stream there wedding over the internet so there friends that couldn't attend could still be apart of the ceremony. One of our goals was to meet this Streaming video need so we when over there options and we built a package that fit there unique needs and was in budget.
The second goal was for the bride and groom to have a video copy of the live wedding event as a keep sake for them selfs and to give to there friend and family that couldn't watch the online broadcast or attend in person. This was done by having three cameras placed in three different angles capturing the wedding ceremony.
A very important part of capturing the wedding ceremony in it's entirety is to have good audio, so the minister was miced and a mic was places in a seismic location to pick up the voices of the bride and groom. Now this is where experience comes in so don't leave your cherished memories in the hand of any amateur.
After the day of the wedding we took all the video footage shot by the three cameras into post. Post is where where the expereace of a seasoned editor craftes an intertaning wedding trailer that the client can be proud of. Finding the right music scores is a big part of a sucsefull wedding video. The right music plays a major roll in the pacing and over all feel and mood of the video and any video for that matter. The music scores that we used in this peice where hand pick from 100's

After meeting with a client who wanted to produce a Minnesota Missions DVD, we found a great way to demonstrate the need for missions right here in Minnesota through video.
The production process started with an intro using Google Earth. This can be done with the pro version of Google Earth using the movie maker function but the cost to do so was prohibitive for the client. So we got creative trying a few different methods. We finally opted to use Cinema 4D (a 3D animations program) and got the look we were going for. Now that we were rolling on the wide shot of a spinning world with text overlay, we wanted to visually push into Minnesota and with our Cinema 4D skills, we made this a beautiful metamorphosis.
Now that we were happy with our results, we exported the video to After Effects and started adding effects such as text and photo animations to make the video come alive. Being pleased with the results, we could now export this to Apple Pro Res (HQ) codec for use in Final Cut Pro. We go with this codec for the very finest looking video and allows us to render the video easily.
Our final stage with this project was to move into Final Cut to add closing text and some photos with limited animation. We chose to add the ending content this way for an easy way to adjust timing and other needs.

Our goal with the Kenneth Erich Kunzman project was to tell a life story using still photos and celebrate the life of Kenneth Erich Kunzman.
By showing the most memorable moments of Kenneth’s life we were able to achieve the goal of touching memories for family members to keep Kenneth in their memories.
We had the client go thought their collection of photos and pull together 40-50 pictures per song. Once we received the photo content we scanned and digitized them 1.5 times bigger then the final output video size. We prepared the photo’s by color grading, touching up blemishes, and cropping techniques to get the best results and quality. To give some scale, motion, dissolves and effects to the photo’s we brought them in to After Effects. After Effects is a great compositing and animation program.
So the client could see the progression of the project we would send rough cuts to them though "You Send It" and email. We would burn timecode over the video so the client and us would be on the same page for any changes that needed to be made. Once the client signed off on the project we brought this final video in to DVD Studio Pro where we authored the final DVD.

For this project we were brought into the picture as the editor for a video presenting the Muscular Dystrophy Association, taking the dailies, scripts, and edit the packages accordingly. To start, we being by laying the selects and B-role into the sequence, starting to tell the story the producer wanted to convey and completing the first rough cut. Having four packages that needed to be completed and timed to a desired length for presentation purposes. Upon completion of the project the client signed off on the packages and we printed them to tape.
To understand the process of this project and give a breakdown of what it took to complete this project, we did the following:
- Captured the video footage
- Digitized the footage
- Laid video into the EDL according to the script (time code)
- Timed the footage for flow
- Gave the client rough cuts (bidaily and weekly via youtube)
- Client signed off and printed to tape
- Video presented on the Jerry Lewis Telethon |

Minnesota Score TV is the visual version of the Minnesota Score Magazine airing on FSN North. This show covered some of the hottest sports in Minnesota. There are five packages in the overall show covering different sports and my part in this was acting as the online editor, working with producers and writers.
I would take the scripted and the selects and cut them together in the Avid EDL, sending daily rough cuts of the packages thought email to the producer and writers. I would add graphics, effects and lay in music beds to the final show. Doing all of this from a remote location allowed Minnesota Score to have a great experience with the video editing process with the reassurance that the video would reflect the attitude the show reflected.

MyFirestorm wanted a video that portrayed there company and gave a face to the company and with Motion Weave studio; were able to deliver on that. When meeting with the organizations www.myfirestorm.com the aim was to produce a video to explain their dot com and company. They want to give a face to the company so we decided to shoot on screen talent.
After meeting with the CEO and the web design firm we elected to produce 2 videos. Shooting on a green screen chroma Key set would bring forth the clients vision of a very diverse video with different variations of shots and really show off the talent of this company.
Video package #1 is called a website walk on. This type of video is shot on a green screen. Shooting on a green screen allows us to pull a key leaving a transparent background.
Video package #2 will be used for the different types of media delivery. This video has all the informal visuals of company and other visual ads.
MyFireStorm will harness the power of these videos on social media sites such as Vimeo.com, Youtube, twitter and Linkedin.com. These videos will also be use for conventional delivery such as networking group, conventions, trade shows and other media types group get together.

In a past life I was a staff editor for a local nonprofit where i was blessed to work on a variety of projects. Being the man of different hats, where one day I would act the roll as videographer, while the next a producer, and even landing the roll as an editor. This opportunity gave me the ability to push the envelope, try new things that had not been done before and learn from my experiences.
I was JCP's producer, director, videographer, and video editor; so having all these rolls allowed me to produce projects from start to completion, and giving the flare of different themes and objectives. The target audience of these videos were to go after teenagers ranging from middle to high school (or 13 to 18 year old teens). This meant the video had to be relevant and trendy to grab their attention. Most if not all of these packages would end up in the weekly television show.
Keeping things alive and moving, we built such things as a green screen to shoot in our studio, while also giving excitement to our videos by shooting at different familiar (and sometimes not so familiar) locations around the twin cities using professional video editing equipment for a high quality video production. To finish these videos we would edit the footage using software such as:
- Avid
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe PhotoShop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Apple Final Cut Studio
- Sorenson Squeeze
